Note-Taking
When I take notes, I usually abbreviate certain words or write down only the primary words, such as: The first, third, and last words in a title, the main verbs/adjectives, etc. the other things that help me when I take notes are color coding my note cards and to organize it alphabetically. Also using note-cards forces me to write short sentences.
VOCABULARY
Vocabulary:
Things that have helped me "pp up" my vocabulary are:
Asking my parents questions if I am not sure about their meaning(s).
Red Flag Vocabulary Words (RFVW)
Orton Gillingham
The technique that really helps me learn vocabulary is to use tables that consist of 4 columns (example at left):
1st column=The vocab word in question
2nd column=The definition of the word
3rd column=The part of speech that the word is
4th column=A simple sketch that you apply to the meaning
Also, something else that helps me a lot is reading and my overly active imagination. My imagination really helps me visualize things really well! Reading also helps me to write my books. The books that I have written are, Navo-voixias l'Deat and Adam, Abduction

A planner (at right and 3 photos down) helps to keep myself organized. The way that a planner helps, is it tells me what day it is in the rows, which specific class or subject it is that I am writing in on the columns, spaces without a specified subject so that I have spaces for my electives (i.e. Tech, Arts, Language, etc.).
A schedule (featured at left) helps me figure out which subject I have on, pour sie, "J Day", at 3rd block. I also like to color code my schedules so that I can easily figure out the subject I have next.
Tabs called parking lots so that I can put papers from each separate class in its correspondent spot.
Webs/diagrams/mind-maps so that I can keep track of my thinking.
